Have you ever gotten done with your concealer application, set it to perfection and realized your right eye started crying? I understand completely. Watery eyes and a dry undereye area seem like a recipe for disaster.

Today, I am going to tell you what I'm dealing with, coupled with winter and how I get the perfect bright and fresh under eye area crease-free.

Let's get started:

My situation:
-Watery eyes
-Dry under-eye area
-Lots of fine lines around the eyes (premature eyeliner days)

The solution:
-For watery eyes (especially in the winter and at times when there are many bright lights) I use eye drops, not the redness relief kind, but the lubricant (artificial tears) kind. I use that twice per day, at night before going to bed, and the second time, after waking up.

-For dryness underneath the eyes I make sure to use an eye area moisturizer, preferably thick for the nighttime and something lightweight for the daytime. I also use an eye primer, preferably a moisturizing kind such as the Urban Decay Anti-aging Eye Primer or the Lorac Behind the Scenes Eye Primer.

-This takes me to the next step, the star of the show, the concealer. I prefer a liquid, rather than a thick cream, such as my favorites, the Marc Jacobs Beauty Remedy Concealer Pen or the MAC Prolongwear Concealer (Pictured below). That's my solution to horrific fine lines. Using a primer will prevent any concealer from sinking into your fine lines but, using a liquid concealer will make it easy to blend and get even coverage.

By the way, I recommend to use concealer after you've applied foundation, if you're using it that day.

The last step for the perfect concealer application is to set everything so that it will last you the whole day. Loose or pressed powders are both great, but if you have watery eyes, pressed powders are best.

Now, that you have gotten your dark under eye circles to disappear, and your concealer has lasted all day, it's time to take it all off at night. Liquids are the best option, because other options will make for more premature wrinkles with all the  tugging and dragging of the skin. Therefore, makeup remover wipes are a no no. Depending on what's best for you, you could go with oils, such as the Josie Maran Argan Cleansing Oil, or an oil free makeup remover, such as the one from Neutrogena. The fact that liquids are so easy to work with, your delicate skin around the eyes will not suffer, and the makeup will come right off which will mean that you will prevent wrinkles, and irritation and it will leave your skin clean and fresh for moisturizer application. And then we start the cycle all over again.

That's it ladies and gents, I think that's all (hopefully) and as always, if you have any question, or want to say hello, leave me a comment down below. Thank you so much for reading and I hope you enjoyed your weekend!

Xoxo,
Mariela.

Boxycharm is a $21 Monthly Beauty Subscription box based out of Florida. They feature 4-5 full or deluxe size products in each month's box.

I am completely blown away by this month's box.
This is my all time favorite subscription box, ever.
It's so unique and such an amazing value for my money.
Here is what I received this first month of 2015:

Beauty for Real The Perfect Pencil $14
Beauty for Real True Color Lip Cream in Always There $22
Mirabella Face Prime $29
Pur~lisse Skin Sparkle Flash Tattoos $12
Tarte Maracuja Bronzing Serum $47

The total value of this month's box is $124, and I only paid $21.
I think that's amazing and I'm so happy with everything. The full size Tarte Bronzing serum is the best part, it claims to correct and even out my skin tone, and the primer is to die for, it's almost exactly like the smashbox photo ready primer, but better because it doesn't have a chemical smell, the flash tattoos are so unique, no other subscription box had done that and the lip cream and matching lip pencil are soooo pretty and seems to me like everything in this box will go well with almost everybody (can't please everybody).

Here is my first of many panning projects I have set for myself. I love buying makeup and I need to set goals for myself to use them up. I will still buy makeup, but I've decided that just as I set a budget for buying makeup, I should also set a time budget on the items in my collection.

Panning projects are basically goals to hit pan (the pan where your makeup comes in) like the light at the end of a tunnel. No, lol I'm just kidding, it just means to hit pan on your product and basically, use it all up. It's not only to get your money's worth, but also because makeup expires, and it's important to use up makeup while it's still good.

The items I've decided to pan are products that I no longer want in my collection because they're getting old or because I do not plan on using them anymore and I want them OUT.

So, I've started with two for this year:

Pan that palette Challenge (Intro in youtube: http://bit.ly/1DrXuVJ)

For this challenge, I've chosen my Naked 2 palette since it's the one I reach for the least, and it's the oldest in my collection.

Hello ladies and gentleman,

I want to start by saying that I am overly obsessed with makeup. This is the first post of my new makeup blog. I wanted to start with something as simple as what I like to wear (makeup wise) on a non-eventful day. In the picture above, I have placed my makeup of the day, also known nowadays as hashtag MOTD. Featuring my all-time favorite highlighter, mascara and eye shadow palette. I have listed all the products below, along with links to where you can find them, and a little short and simple review. What can you expect from this blog? Makeup reviews, challenges, new product alerts, first impressions, subscription box reviews and things I completely forget to mention on my youtube channel. I hope you enjoyed this post and I hope that you stay and subscribe for more.

xoxo, Mariela
